Alpha and The Alpha Team, Accountable at Every Level
– by Kathy May
Well, the suggestions for accountability are rolling in. At the top of the list, and one that Korian posted in the comment section on our last blog was: “My suggestion for accountability is simple: Follow through on what you say you will do. If you tell a client that you will have a transcript completed by a certain date, make sure it’s done. A little goes a long way.”
This suggestion for accountability really requires no explanation. Right? After all, your word is your bond. Unfortunately, we have all been in situations where we have been promised a delivery or told we could expect such and such, and when that does not happen, then all credibility is lost.
Clients recognize, as do we at Alpha, that situations arise which may prevent us from always being able to hit the deadlines; however, if we notify the client of the delay, along with an explanation, 99% of the time the client is very understanding, and more importantly, appreciative of the fact that we respected them enough to make the call or send the email.
In part, and as Korian stressed …
“A little goes a long way.”
